Independent from merchants

Product coverage decisions — what we cover, how we describe it, and what we recommend — are made independently of any affiliate relationship. Commission rates and merchant relationships do not determine which products appear on this site or how favorably they're described.

Editorial ratings, not customer reviews

Every star rating on this site is labeled "Editor's Rating" and reflects our own assessment based on published manufacturer specifications, public reviews from other outlets, and hands-on time with a product where we've had it. We do not fabricate customer review counts or aggregate ratings we have not verified. Where a review count appears, it comes from a specific, disclosed source — never invented.

We disclose the limits of our testing

We do not claim to have personally tested every product we cover. Review and comparison pages are explicit about whether a recommendation is based on hands-on testing, published specifications, or a combination of both.

Content stays current

Product prices, availability, and specifications can change after publication. Pages display a "last updated" date, and we periodically review older content for accuracy. If you spot outdated or incorrect information, please let us know.

Corrections

If we get something wrong — a spec, a price, a factual claim — we correct it as soon as we're able to verify the issue, and update the page's revision date accordingly.
